I wonder if anyone even checks this anymore

Hey all,

This is my first post since I dropped out of the IMBC ain't it? I don't really know why I'm posting; I've got nothing to say and no one to read what little I do talk of. So I pretty much figured out that I won't be able to see Candi all summer unless I visit her at work. When I work this summer it will be from 8-4 and when she works it will be from 4-some other time. So I get off work right as she starts. I might not work the entire summer, but even if I don't we would only have like 2 or 3 hours to hangout, if that.

Well my birthday's in a month from today. I couldn't really care less though, being fifteen doesn't do anything for me, I'm pretty much only excited because Candi said she'd buy me some Vault for my b-day. She's going to buy a 12-pack too so I'll get to drink Vault from a can for the fist time in my life.

Well I want to do stuff today, but I have nothing to do until like 4 or 5. I'm so bored! Well I'm gonna go try to find some way to kill 2 hours, Jamez out.

I quit...

As much as I hate to do it, I resign. This competition was awesome, but it's become to stressful and a bit of a hassle. Plus I'm getting behind in school because I've been getting home past 9 on most nights. Good luck to Ful_Abs and Finley, Jamez out.

IMBC Day 40 (for real this time)

Ok, well I'm in a bad mood and feel like crap so lets make this short and sweet. I'm going to write a review of the show I went to last night just because that will be easy and I'm gonna be up all night doing homework anyway.

Well we showed up and met one of our friends in the front of the line before they opened the doors. Then some awesome guy ran up yelling "Tomas Kalnoky signed my Wendy's napkin!" It seemed like it was starting off great, but then someone was like "Yo, we've been here since noon, I can't let you snake to the front like that." We didn't care though. So we waited half an hour but then we got in. Afterwards there was another half hour of waiting then No Trigger came on. They were alright, they didn't sound very good though. The vocalist kinda bugged me too. He held his mic sideways and just danced around because he wasn't playing anything. They were only on for about 30 minutes though. Then Streetlight Manifesto came on. Omigosh, they rocked. I still can't believe I got to see Streetlight live. They were all business; they came on, played, then left. They only really talked to introduce themsleves, say they were having tons of fun (don't they kinda have to) and to say they were playing one last song. Everyone was yelling "One more song!" at the end, but they just left. The best part was that Grant got Kalnoky's guitar pick and I may have gotten one too (I'll explain later.) Then the Aquabats came on. That was kind of a let down after Streetlight. The thing about the Aquabats was that they didn't focus on music, they were just focusing on showing off. They're a fun group but the people there for the 'Bats weren't there for the music. The setup of the show made a distinct line between the fans. You could easily tell who was there for the music and who was there for the 'Bats. The only problem with the 'Bats was that all the skanking pits got turned into mosh pits. Moshing was fun, but skanking is still better.

Anyways, about that pick. As I was buying a Streetlight t-shirt Candi tells Grant that he lost his pick, so he picks it up. When he gets home he realizes that he got two picks though, one from Kalnoky and the one Candi found. Evidince supporting the idea that the second pick is Kalnoky's: Kalnoky had two or more picks with him; the pick was the same brand, line, colour, and thickness as the first pick; it seems unlikely that somone would bring a pick just like the one Kalnoky has to a show then lose it. Evidence against the idea that the second pick is Kalnoky's: the pick was faded and less more dirty than the first pick, it seems unlikely that anyone who got Kalnoky's pick would just lose it, and obviously: what are the chances of it actually belonging to him?

Ok well I have to go take a shower and do tons of homework, Jamez out.

IMBC Day 40

...ok, well now we continue. I bet you people were dying with suspense, and now you have to wait until almost midnight on the next day to find out how I was going to finish that sentence as well as the rest of the post. I'm guessing it was mostly the sentence though. No really, here's the rest of that sentence and blog post...now: reason that I like it. Same with Ben and Jeff, but I haven't talked to them in about a week. There's four people that haven't been mean to me that I can think of. Candi's always nice to me, Gurr and Grant were in a good mood or something, and that Tim guy (I really need to check his name because I'm probably getting it wrong and he's probably going to get pissed at me) told me that he wasn't calling me retarded, just that Trish girl that "wants [my] seed."

Well I think that you people want to know what I am wearing to the show for some reason. Either that or I need crap to talk about. It could be either one since it's so hard to guess. I'm going to wear my white button-up shirt with a checkered tie and some jeans. If those button fly jeans that Candi loves don't have holes in them then I'll wear those. Like I've said before: I don't mind holes in my jeans, but skanking/moshing in ripped jeans could be disasterous.

Well Grant apperently had an interesting day. We played basketball at a school today and we got home late so we came up with a rather long excuse. Apperently, Grant and I were walking home when we saw a yard sale sign and that slowed us down. Then we saw this guy on a little mini bike dealie and Grant loved it so it slowed us down again. After that there were some rabits on the sidewalk and we tried to go around them but they multiplied to quickly so we had to swim through the sea of bunnies. By the time we got through Grant had lost a hand but he's apperently 1/8 starfish so his had regenerated as a starfish. Well as you know a starfish isn't a very functional hand so we went to WalMart to purchase a prosthetic starfish but it was from WalMart so it fell apart after like 20 seconds. We then decided to go to Candi's house and used one of her cats as a hand for Grant, but then we ran out of time to make the rest of the story.

Well I'm pretty sure that's over 300 words, so enjoy it, Jamez out.

IMBC Day 39

Well people, just to prove my lasyness I'm going to make this blog a two-part blog. Now you may ask me how that is being lazy. Well I have to do todays blog and tomorrow's blog but I'm going to that Streetlight Manifesto show (19 hours, 54 minutes by the way) so tomorrow I don't have time to think about what I'm going to write in my blog. So in effect I'm going to make one 600 word blog, but split into two seperate 300 word blogs. Is that genious or what? No it's really not, but just by asking a rehtorical question then answering it I've added more words to my word count OF DOOM. I hope you realize that by saying "OF DOOM" then commenting on it I've yet again upped my word count without having to do as much of the work.

I've decided that several animals have really awesome names. If I had the chance I would share in the awesome nameageishnessisnicity. In fact, when I'm 18 I think I should get my name legally changed to either Vole McScallop or Scallop McVole. I really can't decide which, maybe I'll take a poll or something, because public votes always solve everything. You can't see, but I'm laughing because George W. Bush is the president. Actually I think that I and everyone else should lay off Bush because now that he's not under the pressure to get re-elected he's done a few things that were actually pretty smart.

I think that May 8th is Be Mean to Jamez Day. Seriously, everyone at school (save two or three people) have been mean to me. Even my mother has been all pissy at me today. Plus Jennie and Erik have been making fun of ska music for the sole...to be continued...

Sunday, May 07, 2006

Wow...

Man, this is probably the worst Sunday ever. Just so all you non-Utah people know, that is saying a ton over here. Utah Sundays are boring as watching a mural of painted-on grass grow. But today wasn't boring it just sucked. I have so much homework that's all due sometime this week, but it's not little math assignments. I have huge projects I have to do. I have to memorize a monologue for theater by 8:00 am tomorrow, then write and illustrate a children's book, then write a book report (which is oral), find some old english assignments (don't even ask why because it would take forever to explain) which I deleted because my dad made me clean out all my files on the computer, and like 3 other things I can't remember cuz I'm too stressed out. Then I had to help my deceased friend's family move. I don't know what kind of "food storage" they have, but it weighs a ton. Then my dad made me to yardwork for a couple hours today. The result: my arms hurt so bad that it hurts to make a bowl of friggin' cerial. Then Candi reminded me that I have to blog, so now I'm doing that. Before I blogged I thought I'd go read the latest installment of questionable content, but all I get is a message from Jeph saying that the comic might be a little late tonight. Some break that was. On top of all this crap, I'm getting sick. Either that or allergies. I'm not too fond of it either way.

Just so you guys know: I'm tired, sick, and pissed off so if I get one "don't be so emo" or grammer correction comment on this, I'ma hurt someone. I've already got 2 or 3 comments from "anonymous" that, while helpful, are quite irksome. Not to mention Tim or whatever his name is left me a comment saying that I was retarded for posting something 3 times, but I still can't figure out what that thing is.

In closing: the concert is less than 44 hours away, Jamez out.

IMBC Day 36

So I listened to No Trigger today. They're playing with Streetlight Manifesto at the concert. Grant told me they sucked, but they're really pretty good. I don't like the vocals so much, it doesn't match the music. The background is kinda like heavy skate punk, like Fenix TX, but the vocals sound all hardcore. I just don't think it seems right. I'm looking forward to seeing them though. This is the best lineup for a show I've gone to. Ok, so this will only be my second show, but still! I think I need to start like a concert scrapbook or something. So when I'm like some 20 year old music bum I can look back at it and be like, "Yeah, that show rocked" or like, "Man, that band sucked so much." Either way it's awesome.

So I started reading Artemis Fowl: The Opal Deception recently. It's a kind of a low-level book, and I'm only reading it because I have a book report, but I kinda like the book. I'm pretty upset that I have to blog right now because I'd kinda just rather be reading that book. Call me crazy, but it's a really interesting book.

I decided that I need pair of Chucks and/or a fedora/porkpie. I guess I'd rather have a porkpie/fedora than the Chucks if I had to pick one, because I already have some checkered slip-ons, but Chucks are always aweosme.

Well there happens to be a book about 2 feet away from me and it says "A very loose canon of american humor" and it surprised me because I thought that "canon" was spelled "cannon" not "canon." Now I'm confused.

Ok well I think I'm gonn go read some of my book then sleep, Jamez out. Just kidding, I'm still a few words short of 300, I hate it when that happens, but just telling you about it gave me the last few words so ha. Now a picture and I'm out.
